The Yemeni Houthi group announced Saturday that it launched a hypersonic ballistic missile targeting Nevatim Air Base in Israel’s southern Negev region. Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree claimed the Palestine 2 hypersonic missile successfully hit its target.
Saree warned Israel that the group will continue military operations until the aggression on Gaza stops and the siege is lifted. The Israeli army earlier reported intercepting a missile launched from Yemen before it entered Israeli airspace.
The Houthis have targeted Israeli sites in solidarity with Gaza, which has faced Israeli aggression since October 2023. The group has vowed to continue operations until the onslaught on Gaza ends. Tensions have escalated with US and British intervention, prompting the Houthis to consider all American and British ships as military targets.
