Pakistan has carried out precision strikes deep inside Afghanistan, targeting four camps of the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and the office of Umar Media, the TTP’s media arm. This move comes hours after Pakistan’s Special Representative for Afghanistan met with Afghan Interior Minister Sirajuddin Haqqani and other senior Taliban government figures.
The strikes, reported to be the second such operation by Pakistan inside Afghanistan this year, aim to curb the activities of the TTP, which has been responsible for numerous attacks on Pakistani soil. In March this year, Pakistan had also conducted airstrikes deep inside Afghanistan, targeting militant hideouts
It is a developing story….
