Lebanon Submits Formal Complaint to UN Over Israeli Ceasefire Violations

1 minutes read

Lebanon has lodged a formal complaint with the United Nations Security Council, condemning Israel’s repeated breaches of a ceasefire agreement reached last month.

The complaint, submitted by the Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs,  through its permanent mission in New York.expresses strong objections to Israel’s 816 violations of the ceasefire in under a month.

These violations include bombings of border villages and residential areas, as well as road blockages, which undermine efforts to deescalate military tensions. The complaint emphasizes that Israel’s actions pose a serious threat to regional security and stability, hindering Lebanon’s ability to implement UN Resolution 1701.
