Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian hosted Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed al-Sudani in Tehran on Wednesday, where they discussed the burgeoning relationship between their two nations.

During a joint press conference, President Pezeshkian announced that the relations between Iran and Iraq have reached an unprecedented high. He highlighted that new areas of cooperation are continuously being explored, adding depth to the already robust bilateral ties.

Pezeshkian described Iraq as a “strategic partner and important neighbor,” underscoring Tehran’s commitment to fostering peace, stability, and development in the region. He expressed optimism about accelerating the pace of development in relations, citing the mutual confidence that has been built over time.
